happy holidays

hello readers, this will be my last post of the year. i will post more reviews next year at least once every other month. still, i am open to sugestions on emulators and questions about any emulator you might be using. please keep reading and have a happy holiday.

null dc

Nulldc is an emulator for the sega dreamcast. this emulator is one of the two remaining dreamcast emulator that is still being worked on. when I tested this emulator, i played sonic adventure. the graphics wern't on of the best, but alowed the game to be played. the frame rate was solid and rarly slowed down.  sound can be chopy at times but is still good. many of this emulator's functions are still being worked on and are not perfect yet, but are well on their way. one place to get the emulator and roms for it is coolrom.com.

ZSNES

from past uses of this emulator, i have found it to play msot of super nintendo entertainmant system (snes) games at a great framerate and has very little problems in game play. this emulator is useable on all computer operating systems. the graphics are as good as they will ever be and takes up very litle from your computer's memory to run. also this emulator is easy to use due to it's easy to learn/use controls

PC Atari

from what i can find on this emulator, it is a fast running seamless emulator for the Atari 2600 and is said to support most of the peripheral devices for the original console. when i get the memory upgraded in my computer, i will post a review on this emulator and give places to get Roms for it.

places to get roms for your emulators

There are many places to down load roms or isos for your emulators. Roms and isos are the digital formats of the origanal game. One site that I go to for most of my roms is Coolrom.com. On this website you can find manydifferent emulatiors and roms to go with them. you can find emulators from atari to the origanal Xbox, and roms from Atari to playstation with many popular titles. i was asked by on of my friends where to find a site ot get nintendo ds roms , and i pointed him toward coolrom untill i found www.ndsuniverse.com. here you can find a vast libary of roms, and homebrew (homemade games and apps). keep in mind that if you download any rom/iso and play them on the origanal console/ console series, the rom that you downloaded can/will be considered ileagl. I can not be held accountable in any way for the playing of roms ileagly on the intended consoles. Please play these roms/isos on an emulator only.
Thank you for reading, and have a good day!

Info on Dolphin, a gamecube/wii emulator for windows/ mac/ linnux

from initial tests and information that I could gather, this emulator is the best so far for playing gamecube and wii games on your computer. most games play flawlessly and have minor bugs. this emulator is still far from perfect, since Nintendo keeps putting higher and higher encryptions on their games, most likely to keep the games form being cheated on with Action Replay. the emulator even has a feature to use the Wii remote with the computer! the instructions for setting this emulator and the emulator it's self up for download on the official web site here: http://www.dolphin-emulator.com/

no$gba review

Sorry for not posting sooner, I was testing out this emulator called no$gba, but here it is!!!

no$gba (no cash gba) is possibly the best emulator for playing Nintendo ds games, gba games and Nintendo ds/gba hombrew. This emulator, like all emulators, is still under development, so the current versions are still missing some features while being stable. Some problems include saving problems, and playability of some games like Pokemon black and white. This emulator is for windows computers only and is the best out there. The graphics are very close to the ds' and only have problems when you load a bad ROM or the game is newer than the version of the emulator you are using. The game that I used with this emulator is mega-man star-force: dragon. The game played smoothly and played through to the end of the game. The emulator's save problems are fixable by going to http://www.nogba.com/ (no$gba's home page), clicking on the save game help tab on the left side of the web page and following the on screen instructions. The web page also has the latest free version of the emulator. Overall, I think that this is a very good emulator if you want to play Nintendo ds games and gba games. If you are looking for a good place to get roms for this emulator, then you can try http://www.coolrom.com/ for gba and ds roms, and http://ndsuniverse.com/ for ds Roms (must create a free account to download games and you can only download so many a week).

Project 64k review

Project 64k is a version of project 64 with the ability to play multi-player between multiple computers with the same version of project 64; you can also use this feature play multiplayer over the internet with very few bugs and glitches; this is a handy feature when you and a friend are wanting to play any multiplayer game, but are too far away to visit each other, is called Kaillera. Only pj64k has this feature at the moment. There are also some more plugins than the original, the playability is better and the graphics, depending on your graphics card, are just like the original system, if not better. The audio is excellent and you can set the controls any way you want them, you can even use a joystick of controller (I use an Afterglow Xbox 360 controller). This is a must have for die hard Nintendo 64 fans that want to play their favorite games anywhere. You can find this emulator at pj64-emu.com and find the roms at coolrom.com. If you want more information about this emulator, go to pj64k.blogspot.com or do a wiki search for project 64k.

review on Project 64

One emulator that I tested was project 64 and project 64k, the only difference being one has networking multi player gaming (project 64k) and the other doesn't. This emulator is, in my opinion, the best to play Nintendo 64 games on Windows computers. The playability is excellent, and depending on your graphics card, the graphics can be one of the best; also it is not very hard to find ether one of the 2 versions, and the ROMs to go with it. Two of the games that I tested/played were: The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, and Mario Kart 64. Both were emulated almost perfect with very few minor glitches. In Zelda, some places did not have the symbol or item on the ground showing, and in Mario kart, some of the sprites for the homing shells weren't complete( didn't show them spinning), but this could be from using the wrong graphics card. Over all, I would give this emulator the ten out of ten stars that it deserves. A good web site that you can go to find both the basic emulator and playable ROMs is www.coolrom.com
